The blessings of sharing in worship and friendship continue. In June 2015, we celebrated our 50th anniversary as a congregation. Current and former members, ranging in age from 6 months to 95 years, gathered for a weekend of reminiscing, eating, laughing and, of course, worshiping the God we love and serve.
We invite YOU to become a part of our story as we look forward to what the next 50 years will bring.
On June 16, 1965, over 85 people gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony on a new church building in the Valleywood area of Beavercreek. After four years of meeting without a permanent church home, the 175 members from the eastern Dayton-western Greene County area were thrilled to begin construction on a place they could call their own. The finished building would contain a 200-seat sanctuary along with a fellowship hall, educational wing, kitchen and nursery.
Seven months later, on January 16, 1966, the congregation celebrated with a consecration service and began holding services at the church three times a week.
